Confession: I went hiking at Curt Gowdy State Park on both Friday and Saturday.
Maybe it’s because after Thursday’s adventure at Tie City I just didn’t feel like putting my kids into snowsuits and strapping on snowshoes.
Or maybe it’s just because in the past few months I’ve fallen in love with Curt Gowdy State Park.
Whatever it is we spent a lot of time on Stone Temple and Ignoramus this weekend.
Here are the current trail conditions as of yesterday, although that I’m sure with last nights rain you can count on more mud.
- Date: 4/24 & 25/15
- Time: 8-11:00 am
- Temperature: 40-45°F (ish).
- Weather: Chilly, partly cloudy
- Wind: Breezy
- Trails Hiked: Stone Temple, Shoreline, Ignoramus
- Trail Conditions: Trails on exposed southern slopes were dry but trails in the treeline and facing the north were wet, muddy and still snowy in some places. People were mountain biking both days but I’d probably give the trails a few more days to dry out or mountain bike from the Volin trailhead.
What are the other trail conditions in the area?
