Hidden Falls. It's a cool place and we get a lot of questions about how to get to the falls. Curt Gowdy State Park does a great job of marking trails and trail intersections, but it can be tricky to find the best route. We see people up there all the time looking for the waterfall and on the wrong trail. We thought we'd dedicate a post to Hidden Falls and give you a few tips for this hike. Confession: I went hiking at Curt Gowdy State Park on both Friday and Saturday. Maybe it's because after Thursday's adventure at Tie City I just didn't feel like putting my kids into snowsuits and strapping on snowshoes. Or maybe it's just because in the past few months I've fallen in love with Curt Gowdy State Park. Whatever it is we spent a lot of time on Stone Temple and Ignoramus this weekend. Something weird happened today. Normally I'm all about enjoying the snow before it melts into spring. But today I just didn't feel like layering my kids up and dealing with the hassle that is all the extra gear we need when we ski or snowshoe. So, we hopped in the car and headed to Curt Gowdy State Park. I was curious what the trail conditions were and I knew that we'd find mud and that alone would make my kids happy campers.
