We’ve been getting a several questions lately about how we manage to hike with a new baby and a toddler. Since we spend a lot of time out on the trails exploring with our little ones we thought we’d throw together a video blog series with a few things that we’ve learned.
We’ve decided to make this a video series because as busy parents we may not have time to read a long, detailed blog post but we can find 90 seconds to pull our kiddos into our laps and watch a short video. Also, we want you to see the good, the bad, the ugly and the fun that comes along with hiking with babies and toddlers.
There is a lot of information out there about hiking with babies and toddlers, but we’re going to take it a step further and talk about things that no one else is. Such as:
- Hiking while pregnant
- Breastfeeding on the trails
- How carrying a baby or a toddler or both effects things like your balance, stride and footing while hiking
- Why you don’t need fancy clothing or equipment to hike with your kiddos
- Hiking while carrying both a toddler and a baby (yes, it can be done)
Are there any specific topics that you’d like to see covered? Let me know and be sure to tune in tomorrow for our first video, hiking while pregnant.
