Wait…..what…..I mean altitude..…let me explain.
We all feel like we’re burning alive inside some crazy mechanical rhino.
But there are easier ways to escape the heat. We like to get above 10,000 feet and walk around for a while. Many of the higher altitude trails still have spots of snow on or near them. Even though by the time you get there you probably won’t want to bury your head in snow anymore, you can still have a July snowball fight. I’m sure I can find (or bribe) a doctor to say that fond memories of a July snowball fight will help you through the rest of the summer roasting season.
We are lucky to be in Laramie where the Snowy Range is easily accessible. I realize not everyone is in the same situation. But, if your weekend plans call for sitting in the AC why not make that the AC in the car on a trip to the high country?
